Ryoko Forever Fan Club
Banners for Member Pages

One way of advertising the club, if you have a web page, is to insert a link in the form of a graphical banner. This page will be used to collect assorted banners.

If you would like to use one of the banners below, hit the "HTML" button next to your chosen banner. This will display an HTML fragment that you can copy into your web page.

One request: Please do not create hyperlinks to any page other than the main page. The correct URL to use is:

http://www.rffc.org

Banners by members

Members are encouraged to create their own banners, and can submit them for inclusion on this page for use by other members if they like. If you create such a banner and would like to see it here, email me.

Regarding the design of banners: I'd strongly recommend keeping banners reasonably small, simple, and to the point, and they should probably include the text "Member of Ryoko Forever Fan Club" or something very similar.

A good banner can be made in 10KB or less of memory; anything larger may be wasting space and bandwidth. Animated GIFs are cute, but they're a real bandwidth hog and are not recommended. Transparent GIFs are cool, but they use relatively large bandwidth for their size, can be very slow loading on some browsers, and have to be anti-aliased for a particular background. Ultimately, the best is good old JPG with a decent amount of compression; ultimate picture quality really isn't that critical on a banner.
